Content on this website has been developed by the staff of Sandfields Comprehensive School. It is designed for the pupils of Sandfields Comprehensive. This site is a school resource, it is not produced, endorsed or recommended by OCR or any other examining body. It remains the responsibility of any centre using these resources to ensure that their candidates meet the criteria set out by OCR. All material on this website are made freely available for use by any persons, however, material on this website should not be reproduced or redistributed without consent from Sandfields Comprehensive School.
Mark schemes used at Sandfields Comprehensive are available under the teachers' section for each unit that is available. However, we strongly recommend that you download the official mark schemes from the OCR website. We have developed our mark schemes to suit our way of working, and although you are free to use them, it remains your responsibility to ensure that candidates have met the criteria set out by OCR and candidates' marks are presented in a way which is suitable for moderation purposes.
Some additional resources are required for some units. For example, in Unit 1, a CD or USB Pen drive is required for use by candidates. The files required to produce these resources are available in the teachers section for each resource. It is the responsibility of each centre to produce these additional resources and to ensure that they meet the criteria set out by OCR.
We have attempted to create a resource which will be used by a wide range of candidates. The three scenarios, Outdoor Pursuits, i-Downloads and the Animal Shelter are identical in the requirements for candidates and the difference between the scenarios is superficial. Within each scenario, the complete unit is expected to cover all of the requirements for a distinction. Candidates will therefore not need to complete every task in order to achieve a Pass. Indicators will be added to each task in the near future to distinguish Pass, Merit and Distinction.
