What a success our first ever open competition was. I was really surprised by how many people entered considering how little advertising we actually did. I know that many people were impressed by the quality of mountain bikers that we have living in the locality. Tim has suggested that we continue to promote the event even after it has happened. Good publicity could result in future sponsorship for this event. Tim has suggested that we produce a newsletter to let people know more about us. If we can let people know about this event we can generate income from spectators in the future. Sarah wants to include information about her paragliding lessons, we can't miss that out, she’d never forgive me, I also think we should include some sort of competition with a prize to keep people interested. We need it to be as professional as possible, and also make sure that the information in it is relevant and correct. We can’t afford any mistakes with our first issue. |

Jay has decided that a newsletter needs to be ready to be distributed in the next two weeks.
Create a new blank newsletter of at least three pages, perhaps using a wizard or template in a desk top publishing program.

Change the colour scheme of the document so that it matches the colour scheme you decided earlier.
Include the company logo on at least the front page
Try to include other design elements that you have used on the other documents you have designed.

Now you need to write the stories and articles that will fill the newsletter. Here are some ideas, you can use them if you want.
The latest competition results including a chart
A hot-gossip secion with celebrity extreme sport news
An article showing a table of what activities are coming soon.
An advertisement
An article comparing our prices or services to other companies
A review of a sports place or equipment
What's new on the website
A quiz which can be sent off for a prize
Safety advice

Make sure you include good quality images, at least one table and a chart. If you get your images from the internet, make sure they are copyright free and you acknowledge where you got them from by putting the web address under the image.
You could also use clipart if you want.
On this website you can search for copyright free images.

Make sure you spellcheck and proof-read the work to ensure there are no errors.
