Oh, good to see you, you're just in time! I have had to organise more staff to work in my i-Downloads offices. They will be doing all sorts of jobs, from packing, telephone support, sales and marketing. I want to give a short talk to welcome them to the business and give them some background information, so that they know a bit more about the business before they start. I really want to motivate them to work hard, but I also want to welcome them and make them feel that i-Downloads is a good place to work. Its a tough challenge, but I wondered if you could help by writing a speech which I could give to all the new recruits.

Dave needs to give a speech to a group of new employees at i-Downloads. He needs to motivate them to work hard, as well as welcome them to their new job.
You need to write Dave’s speech for him in a word processor. It should cover the following points:
Introduce himself and welcome staff
What is i-Downloads?
Say how important each type of job is to the business
Talk about the benefits of working for i-Downloads
Tell people about the hours of work and pay
What can happen if you work hard?
Thank people for listening?
You need to be convincing and try to use motivational language that will convince people to work hard at their job. Check the spelling of your speech.

Dave wants to have a presentation that can be shown when he is giving his speech. Create a blank presentation and create five blank slides.

Dave wants to make sure that the presentation looks professional, and that it matches the corporate design ideas that you have already developed.
Choose a suitable Slide Design, and edit the colour scheme to match those you chose earlier.
Here is a Video to help you with using the task pane for slide design and colour schemes.

Dave thinks that the i-Downloads logo should appear on every slide. View the slide master and put the logo on the master slides so that it appears on all the slides in the show.
Change the fonts to the ones you decided earlier
Don't forget to close master view when you have finished
The University of Reading website has some useful information about slide masters

Divide Dave’s speech that you have written into five parts. Copy the parts of the speech, so that one part is in the speaker notes area for each slide. Check the spelling of your slideshow

Add notes from the important parts from Dave’s speech onto each slide. Display the information in a suitable way. Add images from the Internet or ClipArt to match the information you have included.

Choose suitable animation for each slide. Screenshot how you did this. Explain why you chose these animations.

Choose suitable slide transitions for each slide. Screenshot how you did this. Explain why you chose these transitions.
